I serve on the advisory council for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Advisory Council, as well as on the statewide advisory council for the Idaho Small Business Development Center. In addition, I teach a class on legal issues for businesses as part of the Senior Core of Retired Executives’ monthly workshop for new business owners. I also volunteer as legal counsel for Guardian Ad Litem volunteers through the 4th District Court’s Court Appointed Special Advocates program. In addition, I serve on the City of Boise’s Code Enforcement Advisory Committee, and participate in monthly “Collaborative Visioning” meetings in which representatives of Boise’s core neighborhood associations get together informally to discuss current “livability” issues and trends affecting the City of Boise and its neighborhoods.

Community
I served on the North End Neighborhood Association Board, and was actively involved in helping to preserve Boise’s historic heritage through the creation of the Hays Street Historic District, and in the creation of the Collaborative Visioning forum to foster dialogue between Boise’s core neighborhood associations
